41-775. Violation; classification

A. Except as provided in section 41-772, any person who knowingly commits any act unlawful under this article or who violates any provision of this article is guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor unless another classification is specifically prescribed in this article.

B. Any person who is convicted of a class 2 misdemeanor under this article shall, for a period of five years, be ineligible for appointment to or employment in a position in the state service and, if he is an employee of the state at the time of conviction, is subject to suspension for not less than ninety days or dismissal.
