45450.  The governing board of any school district may employ, inaccordance with the provisions of this chapter, such personnel as maybe necessary to act as guards at pedestrian crossings to ensure thesafety of schoolchildren who use such intersections.45451.  The governing board of any school district which employsschool crossing guards pursuant to this article may be reimbursedfrom funds including, but not limited to, those collected pursuant toSections 42200 and 42201 of the Vehicle Code.
