74984.  (a) There shall be one marshal who shall be appointed by theShasta County Superior Court. (b) The board of supervisors may transfer certain duties of thesheriff to the marshal pursuant to Section 26608.3. (c) All fees collected by the marshal's office shall be depositedwith the county treasurer and credited to the general fund.74985.  Each employee of the marshal's office who is a countyemployee shall be provided the same employment benefits by ShastaCounty as the county provides to other county employees in equivalentcategories and salary ranges in the county's merit personnel system.74988.  The marshal and employees of the office of the marshal whoprovide court security services, except reserve deputy marshals, areemployees of the Shasta County Superior Court for all purposes.
