101400. The board of supervisors may contract with a city in thecounty, and the governing body of a city may contract with the countyfor the performance by health officers or other county employees ofany or all enforcement functions within the city related toordinances of public health and sanitation, and all inspections andother related functions.101405. Whenever a contract has been duly entered into, the countyhealth officer and his or her deputies shall exercise the same powersand duties in the city as are conferred upon city health officers bylaw.101410. In the contract the city may provide, as specified inSection 101400, for payment by the city to the county to the countytreasurer at times specified in the contract and shall be in anamount to repay the county for the entire cost of the servicesperformed for the city as required in the enforcement of ordinancesunder the terms of the contract, as nearly as can be estimated orascertained.101415. The board of supervisors may contract with the governingbody of a city in the county to secure the performance by the cityhealth officer or other city health employees of any or all functionsrelated to public health in any unincorporated territory adjacent tothe city.101420. Payment for the services specified in Section 101415 in theunincorporated territory shall be made by the county to the citytreasurer.101425. The board of supervisors or the governing body of any citymay contract with the county superintendent of schools or with thegoverning board of any school district located wholly or partially inthe county or city for the performance by local health officers orother public health department employees of any or all of thefunctions and duties set forth in Chapter 9 (commencing with Section49400) of Part 27 of the Education Code, relating to the healthsupervision of school buildings and of pupils enrolled in the schoolsof any or all school districts over which the county superintendentof schools, or the governing board or a school district, hasjurisdiction. The contract may specify payment dates as agreed upon by theparties to the contract; payment shall be made as specified in thecontract to the county treasurer or city treasurer.
