40360.  As used in this article, "council" means an air pollutioncontrol advisory council appointed pursuant to Section 40361.40361.  A regional district board may appoint an air pollutioncontrol advisory council to advise and consult with the regionaldistrict board and regional district air pollution control officer ineffectuating the purposes of this division.40362.  The council shall consist of the chairman of the regionaldistrict board, who shall serve as an ex officio member, and memberswho preferably are skilled and experienced in the field of airpollution and a representative from each of the following groupswithin the regional district: the academic community, healthagencies, agriculture, industry, community planning, transportation,registered professional engineers, general contractors, architects,and organized labor.40363.  Council members shall serve without compensation, but may beallowed actual expenses incurred in the discharge of their duties.40364.  The council shall select a chairman and vice chairman andsuch other officers as it deems necessary.40365.  The council shall meet as frequently as the regionaldistrict board or the council deem necessary.
