12771.  A district may take by grant, purchase, gift, devise, orlease, or condemn in proceedings under eminent domain, or otherwiseacquire, and hold and enjoy, real and personal property of every kindwithin or without the district necesssary to the full or convenientexercise of its powers. The board may lease, mortgage, sell, orotherwise dispose of any real or personal property within or withoutthe district when in its judgment it is for the best interests of thedistrict so to do. The provisions of this section apply to all salesor mortgages heretofore or hereafter made.12772.  A district may destroy a record pursuant to Chapter 7(commencing with Section 60200) of Division 1 of Title 6 of theGovernment Code.
