SECTIONS 50085-50090

50085.  All meetings of the board shall be conducted in a mannerprescribed by the Ralph M. Brown Act, Chapter 9 (commencing withSection 54950), Part 1, Division 2, Title 5 of the Government Code.50086.  A majority of the board constitutes a quorum for thetransaction of business.50087.  The board shall adopt rules for its proceedings and mayprovide, by ordinance or resolution, that each member shall receivefor each attendance at the meetings of the board the sum of fiftydollars ($50), but not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) in anycalendar month, and shall be allowed such necessary traveling andpersonal expenses incurred in the performance of his or her duties asauthorized by the board.50088.  The acts of the board shall be expressed by motion,resolution, or ordinance. No ordinance shall be passed by the boardon the day of its introduction, nor within three days thereafter, norat any time other than a regular or adjourned regular meeting. Noordinance, resolution, or motion shall have any validity or effectunless passed by the affirmative votes of a majority of thedirectors.50089.  All ordinances shall be published after passage.50090.  The enacting clause of all ordinances shall be as follows: "Be it enacted by the board of directors of San Joaquin RegionalTransit District:" All ordinances shall be signed by the chairpersonof the board or the vice chairperson and attested by the secretary.
