90000.  This part shall be known and cited as the "San Diego CountyTransit District Act of 1965."90001.  Unless the context otherwise requires, the provisions ofthis article govern the construction of this part.90002.  "District" means the San Diego County Transit District.90003.  "Board" means the board of directors of the district.90004.  "Voter" means any elector who is registered under theElections Code.90005.  "Transit" means the transportation of passengers only andtheir incidental baggage by means other than by chartered bus,sightseeing bus, or any other motor vehicle not on an individualpassenger fare-paying basis. Nothing in this section shall beconstrued to prohibit the district from leasing its buses to publicagencies or to private certified public carriers or to prohibit thedistrict from providing schoolbus service for the transportation ofpupils between their homes and schools.90006.  "Transit works" or "transit facilities" means all real andpersonal property, equipment, rights, or interests owned or to beacquired by the district for transit service.
