SECTION 95130-95132
95130.  The legislative body, the City Council of the City of SantaBarbara, may pass a resolution declaring that in its opinion publicinterest or necessity demands the creation and maintenance of theSanta Barbara Metropolitan Transit District.95131.  The resolution may state the transit facilities proposed tobe first acquired, but failure to acquire such transit facilitiesshall not affect the validity of the district. The resolution shallset forth and describe the boundaries of the proposed district.95132.  Certified copies of the resolution shall be presented to theBoard of Supervisors of Santa Barbara County requesting the board ofsupervisors to call an election without delay for determiningwhether the district will be created.
