SECTIONS 37820-37826

37820.  The West Plains Water Storage District is, on the effectivedate of this section, hereby merged into the Westlands WaterDistrict.37821.  The surviving district comprises all land in the waterdistrict immediately following the merger plus inclusion, and lessexclusions, of land thereafter made pursuant to law.37822.  The name of the surviving district is Westlands WaterDistrict.37823.  The surviving district is a public agency of the state.37824.  Upon the merger of the two districts, the water storagedistrict for all purposes ceases to exist, and the offices of itsdirectors and officers are terminated.37825.  Upon the merger, the directors and officers of theCalifornia water district then in office constitute the directors andofficers of the surviving district.37826.  Upon the merger, the surviving district succeeds to allproperties, rights, and contracts of each of the two districts andany funds to which it succeeds may be expended and properly disposedof as provided by law for California water districts generally.
