SECTIONS 78650-78650.4

78650.  Unless the context otherwise requires, as used in thisarticle, "subaccount" means the Lake Tahoe Water Quality Subaccountcreated by Section 78650.2.78650.2.  (a) There is hereby created in the account the Lake TahoeWater Quality Subaccount. The sum of ten million dollars($10,000,000) is hereby transferred from the account to thesubaccount for the purpose of implementing this article. (b) Notwithstanding Section 13340 of the Government Code, themoney in the subaccount is hereby continuously appropriated, withoutregard to fiscal years, to the California Tahoe Conservancy for thepurposes of directly undertaking, or for grants to public agenciesfor, land acquisition and improvement programs which control soilerosion, restore watersheds, or preserve environmentally sensitivelands and the natural environment, and related implementation costs,pursuant to Title 7.42 (commencing with Section 66905) of theGovernment Code.78650.4.  Any acquisition pursuant to this article shall be fromwilling sellers.
