    Sec. 0.01. Short title. This Act may be cited as the State Museum Construction Act.

    Sec. 1. The Department of Public Works and Buildings is authorized and directed to construct a building for the Illinois State Museum on a site in Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois, to be selected by it. Such site may be on land now owned by the state, or to be acquired for the purposes of this Act, or on both. The care, custody and control of the building, when completed, is vested in the office of the Secretary of State.
