Chapter 44.--LABOR AND INDUSTRIES
Article 7.--EMPLOYMENT SECURITY LAW

      44-704c.   Additional benefits payable; shared workprogram.(a) A claimant who exhausts regular benefits and who is enrolled in anapproved training program under subsection (s) of K.S.A. 44-703, and amendmentsthereto, and making successful progress in such program, shall be eligible forup to 26 weeks of additional benefits.

      (b)   This additional benefit may be provided to a claimant in a shared workprogram under K.S.A. 44-757, and amendments thereto.However, if the claimant is in a shared workprogram then such claimant shall not be entitled to receive this additionalbenefit for two consecutive benefit years after the training benefits expire.In addition, a claimant who is receiving shared work benefits when they becomeeligible for these additional benefits shall have their payable amountdetermined in the same manner as their shared work benefits.
