Page 1 of 1 36.146 Mission of Kentucky National Guard and Reserve Employers' Council. The Kentucky National Guard and Reserve Employers' Council shall, as its mission, <br>advise employers, both public and private, of the importance of supporting the National <br>Guard and the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Reserves by <br>providing employee members with time off for training, and with job security during <br>times of mobilization. The council may recommend solutions to employment problems <br>encountered by members of the National Guard or military reserves who are mobilized, <br>and it may offer proposed policy or statutory changes to deal with those problems. Effective: June 24, 2003 <br>History: Created 2003 Ky. Acts ch. 158, sec. 2, effective June 24, 2003. <br>Legislative Research Commission Note (6/24/2003). Although 2003 Ky. Acts ch. 158, sec. 2, directed that this section be created as a new section of KRS Chapter 40, the <br>statute has been codified in KRS Chapter 36 because, given the subject matter of the <br>section, this is the more logical placement. See KRS 7.136(1)(a).
