41.330 Delivery of office to successor -- Examination of accounts on expiration of term or in case of vacancy. Upon the expiration of the term of office of the Treasurer, or if a vacancy occurs, the <br>Auditor of Public Accounts shall examine and state the accounts of the Treasurer, count <br>the money in the Treasury, and take an inventory of the books, supplies, and equipment of <br>the office. The money, books, supplies, and equipment shall be delivered to the newly-<br>elected Treasurer or the person who fills the vacancy, and he shall give a receipt for them <br>which shall be filed with the Secretary of State. The former Treasurer or his personal <br>representative or surety may attend the Auditor while engaged in making the examination. <br>The Auditor shall return the statement of accounts, with his report, to the Secretary of <br>State. The report shall be prima facie evidence for and against all concerned and <br>interested. Effective: October 1, 1942 <br>History: Recodified 1942 Ky.
