Page 1 of 1 65.027 Reciprocal preference to be given to resident bidders by local governments. (1) As used in this section, &quot;local government&quot; means city, county, urban-county, consolidated local government, charter county, unified local government, or special <br>district. (2) For all contracts awarded by a local government, the local government shall apply the reciprocal preference for resident bidders described in KRS 45A.494. Effective: July 15, 2010 <br>History: Created 2010 Ky. Acts ch. 162, sec. 4, effective July 15, 2010. <br>Legislative Research Commission Note (7/15/2010). The term &quot;unified county&quot; in subsection (1) of this section has been changed in codification to &quot;unified local <br>government&quot; in order to use the correct, statutory term for a united city-county <br>government and maintain consistency with the current text of the Kentucky Revised <br>Statutes. This change was made by the Reviser of Statutes under the authority of KRS <br>7.136(1).
