</p> <p>Page 1 of 1<br /> 67C.137 Question of consolidation to be submitted to voters.<br /> (1) In every county containing a city of the first class in existence on July 14, 2000, a<br /> question regarding the consolidation of the city of the first class and their county as <br />provided by KRS 67C.101 to 67C.137 shall be submitted to the voters of the county <br />at the regular election to be held in November of 2000. The election shall be <br />governed by the general election laws of the Commonwealth. Approval of the <br />proposal shall require a simple majority of those voting on the question.<br /> (2) The question to be submitted to the voters shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> &quot;Are you in favor of combining the City of&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; and&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;. <br />County into a single government with a mayor and legislative council, keeping all <br />other cities, fire protection districts and special districts in existence?&quot;<br /> Effective: July 14, 2000 <br />History: Created 2000 Ky.
