162.300 Certain boards may obtain school buildings as provided in KRS 162.120 to 162.290. County boards of education and boards of education of independent districts not <br>embracing a city of any class may obtain buildings for school purposes by proceeding <br>under the provisions of KRS 162.120 to 162.290. When applied to such boards of <br>education, KRS 162.120 to 162.290 shall be so read that the term: <br>(1) &quot;City&quot; means &quot;county,&quot; including a county containing a consolidated local government, or &quot;urban-county,&quot; as the case may be; (2) &quot;City clerk&quot; means &quot;county clerk&quot; or the appropriate recordkeeping officer in an urban-county government or a consolidated local government; (3) &quot;Governing body of the city&quot; means &quot;fiscal court&quot; or the governing body of an urban-county government or a consolidated local government, as the case may be; (4) &quot;Mayor&quot; means &quot;county judge/executive,&quot; &quot;chief executive officer of the urban-county government,&quot; or &quot;mayor of a consolidated local government,&quot; as the case <br>may be; and (5) &quot;Ordinance&quot; means either &quot;ordinance&quot; or &quot;resolution.&quot; Effective: July 15, 2002 <br>History: Amended 2002 Ky.
