As used in KRS 164A.555 to 164A.630 unless the context otherwise requires: <br>(1) "Governing board" means the board of trustees or board of regents constituting the corporate bodies established by KRS 164.160 and 164.310 for the purpose of <br>governing universities and colleges and technical institutions. (2) "Institutions" means all public supported postsecondary educational institutions in Kentucky recognized in KRS 164.100, 164.290, 164.580, or 164.810(1)(a). (3) "Affiliated corporation" means a corporate entity which is not a public agency and which is organized pursuant to the provisions of KRS Chapter 273 over which an <br>institution exercises effective control, by means of appointments to its board of <br>directors, and which could not exist or effectively operate in the absence of <br>substantial assistance from an institution.
