(1) The secretary of the cabinet is authorized to purchase liability insurance for the protection of physicians, hospital administrators, and directors employed by the <br>cabinet to protect them from liability for acts, omissions, and claims of medical <br>malpractice arising in the course and scope of their employment of service to the <br>cabinet. (2) The secretary may purchase the type and amount of liability coverage deemed appropriate to best serve the cabinet's interest. Effective: July 15, 1998 <br>History: Created 1998 Ky.
