212.590 Power of condemnation. The board shall have the power, by resolution reciting the need therefor and purpose <br>thereof, to condemn real property located anywhere within such county. Eminent domain <br>proceedings shall be conducted in the name of the board by the department of law of such <br>city. The head of the department of law of such city or his assistant shall be the legal <br>representative of the board in all matters and shall serve in that capacity without <br>compensation from the board. In the exercise of its power of eminent domain, the board <br>shall follow such proceedings as are provided in the Eminent Domain Act of Kentucky. <br>All property thus acquired by the board shall be held, used and controlled by it in the <br>same manner as is all other property of the board. History: Amended 1976 Ky. Acts ch. 140, sec. 90. -- Created 1942 Ky. Acts ch. 41, sec. 19.
