§ 14-8A-01. Definitions.
 

(a)  In general.- In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. 

(b)  Governing body.- "Governing body" means: 

(1) the county executive and county council of a charter county with a county executive; 

(2) the county council of a charter county with no county executive; 

(3) the board of county commissioners of a county; or 

(4) the mayor and council, by whatever name known, of a municipal corporation. 

(c)  National Capital Region.- "National Capital Region" means the area defined under § 2674(f)(2) of Title 10 of the United States Code, including those counties with a border abutting that area and any municipal corporations in those counties.
