§ 1‑569.27.  Venue.

A motion pursuant to G.S. 1‑569.5shall be made in the court of the county in which the agreement to arbitratespecifies the arbitration hearing is to be held or, if the hearing has beenheld, in the court of the county in which it was held. Otherwise, the motionmay be made in the court of any county in which an adverse party resides or hasa place of business or, if no adverse party has a residence or place ofbusiness in this State, in the court of any county in this State. All subsequentmotions shall be made in the court hearing the initial motion unless the courtotherwise directs. (2003‑345,s. 2.)
