§ 106‑22.5. Agricultural tourism signs.

(a)        The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services shallprovide directional signs on major highways at or in reasonable proximity tothe nearest interchange or within one mile leading to an agricultural facilitythat promotes tourism by providing tours and on‑site sales or samples ofNorth Carolina agricultural products to area tourists.

(b)        An agricultural facility must be open for business at leastfour days a week, 10 months of the year in order to qualify for the directionalsigns provided for in this section. The Department shall assess the facilitythe actual reasonable costs of the sign and its installation. (1999‑356, s. 1.)
