§ 106‑549.20. Inspectors' access to businesses.

For the purposes hereinbefore set forth the Commissioner or hisauthorized representative shall cause to be made by inspectors appointed forthat purpose an examination and inspection of all meat food products preparedin any slaughtering, meat‑canning, salting, packing, rendering, orsimilar establishment, where such articles are prepared for intrastate commerceand for the purposes of any examination and inspection said inspectors shallhave access at all times during regular business hours to every part of saidestablishment; and said inspectors shall mark, stamp, tag, or label as"North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Inspectedand Passed" all such products found to be not adulterated; and saidinspectors shall label, mark, stamp, or tag as "North Carolina Departmentof Agriculture and Consumer Services Inspected and Condemned" all suchproducts found adulterated, and all such condemned meat food products shall bedestroyed for food purposes, as hereinbefore provided, and the Commissioner orhis authorized representative may remove inspectors from any establishmentwhich fails to so destroy such condemned meat food products.
