§ 116‑33.  Powersand duties of the boards of trustees.

Each board of trustees shall promote the sound development of theinstitution within the functions prescribed for it, helping it to serve theState in a way that will complement the activities of the other institutionsand aiding it to perform at a high level of excellence in every area ofendeavor. Each board shall serve as advisor to the Board of Governors onmatters pertaining to the institution and shall also serve as advisor to thechancellor concerning the management and development of the institution. Thepowers and duties of each board of trustees, not inconsistent with otherprovisions of this Article, shall be defined and delegated by the Board ofGovernors. (1971, c. 1244, s.1.)
