§122C‑345.  Return of a non‑State resident client to his residentstate.

(a)        Except as providedin subsection (c) of this section, it is the responsibility of the director ofa facility to arrange for the transfer of a client to his resident state. Thecost of returning the client to his resident state is the responsibility of theclient or his family.

(b)        A non‑Stateresident client of an area 24‑hour facility may be  transferred to aState facility in accordance with G.S. 122C‑206 in order for the clientto be returned to his resident state.

(c)        A non‑Stateresident client of a State facility may be returned to his resident state underprocedures established under G.S. 122C‑346 or G.S. 122C‑361. Thecost of returning a client to his resident state under this subsection shall bethe responsibility of the State.
