Article 14.

National Guard MutualAssistance Compact.

§ 127A‑175.  Purposes.

(a)        Provide for mutualaid among the party states in the utilization of the National Guard to copewith emergencies.

(b)        Permit andencourage a high degree of flexibility in the deployment of National Guardforces in the interest of efficiency.

(c)        Maximize theeffectiveness of the National Guard in those situations which call for itsutilization under this Compact.

(d)        Provide protectionfor the rights of National Guard personnel when serving in other states onemergency duty.  (1969,c. 674, s. 1; 1975, c. 604, s. 2; 2009‑281, s. 1.)
