§130A‑45.6.  Boundaries of the authority.

A public health authority mayprovide or contract to provide public health services and to acquire,construct, establish, enlarge, improve, maintain, own, or operate, and contractfor the operation of any public health facilities outside the territoriallimits, within reasonable limitation, of the county or counties creating theauthority, but in no case shall a public health authority be held liable fordamages to those outside the territorial limits of the county or countiescreating the authority for failure to provide any public health service. (1997‑502,s. 1.)
