§130A‑7.  Grants‑in‑aid.

The State is authorized toaccept, allocate and expend any grants‑in‑aid for public healthpurposes which may be made available to the State by the federal government.This Chapter is to be liberally construed in order that the State and itscitizens may benefit fully from these grants‑in‑aid. The Commissionis authorized to adopt rules, not inconsistent with the laws of this State, asrequired by the federal government for receipt of federal funds. Any federalfunds received are to be deposited with the State Treasurer and are to beappropriated by the General Assembly for the public health purposes specified. (1957,c. 1357, s. 1; 1983, c. 891, s. 2.)
