§ 132‑1.5.  911database.

Automatic numberidentification and automatic location identification information that consistsof the name, address, and telephone numbers of telephone subscribers, or the e‑mailaddresses of subscribers to an electronic emergency notification or reverse 911system, that is contained in a county or municipal 911 database, or in a countyor municipal telephonic or electronic emergency notification or reverse 911system, is confidential and is not a public record as defined by Chapter 132 ofthe General Statutes if that information is required to be confidential by theagreement with the telephone company by which the information was obtained.Dissemination of the information contained in the 911, electronic emergencynotification or reverse 911 system, or automatic number and automatic locationdatabase is prohibited except on a call‑by‑call basis only for thepurpose of handling emergency calls or for training, and any permanent recordof the information shall be secured by the public safety answering points anddisposed of in a manner which will retain that security except as otherwiserequired by applicable law.
