§136‑200.1.  Metropolitan planning organizations recognized.

Metropolitan planningorganizations established pursuant to the provisions of 23 U.S.C. § 134 arehereby recognized under the law of the State. Metropolitan planningorganizations in existence on the effective date of this section continueunaffected until redesignated or restructured in accordance with the provisionsof and according to the procedures established by 23 U.S.C. § 134 and thisArticle. The provisions of this Article are intended to supplement theprovisions of 23 U.S.C. § 134. In the event any provision of this Article isdeemed inconsistent with the requirements of 23 U.S.C. § 134, the provisions offederal law shall control. (2000‑80, s. 4.)
