§136‑212.  Duties of Rural Transportation Planning Organizations.

The duties of a RuralTransportation Planning Organization shall include, but not be limited to:

(1)        Developing, incooperation with the Department, long‑range local and regional multimodaltransportation plans.

(2)        Providing a forumfor public participation in the transportation planning process.

(3)        Developing andprioritizing suggestions for transportation projects the organization believesshould be included in the State's Transportation Improvement Program.

(4)        Providingtransportation‑related information to local governments and otherinterested organizations and persons. (2000‑123, s. 2.)
