§ 14‑420.  Arrest ofpersons violating provisions of Article.

If an examination made by theNorth Carolina State Museum of Natural Sciences or the North CarolinaZoological Park or their designated representatives conducted pursuant to thisArticle shows that the reptile is a venomous reptile, large constricting snake,or crocodilian subject to this Article, it shall be the duty of the officermaking the seizure with probable cause to believe that the reptile is beingowned, possessed, used, transported, or trafficked in violation of thisArticle, to arrest all persons violating any of the provisions of this Article. (1949, c. 1084,s. 5; 1981, c. 203, s. 2; 1993, c. 561, s. 116(h); 2009‑344, s. 1.)
