§ 143‑123.  Powerto admit indigent persons.

(a)        This Article shall not be construed to limit the authorityof the institutions to provide care to all indigent persons who are otherwiseentitled to admission in any of the institutions.

(b)        If at any time any person admitted and determined to beindigent shall succeed to or inherit, or acquire, in any manner, property orotherwise be reputed to be solvent, then the State shall have the full rightand authority to collect and sue for the entire cost of care without hinderanceof any statute of limitations.
