§ 143‑129.5.  Purchases from nonprofit workcenters for the blind and severely disabled.

Notwithstanding G.S. 143‑129, a city, county, or othergovernmental entity subject to this Article may purchase goods and servicesdirectly from a nonprofit work center for the blind and severely disabled, asdefined in G.S. 143‑48.

The Department of Administration shall report annually to the JointLegislative Commission on Governmental Operations on its administration of thisprogram. (1995, c. 265, s.4; 1999‑20, s. 1.)
