§ 143B‑273.15A. Reallocation of unspent or unclaimed funds.

Notwithstanding the provisionsof G.S. 143B‑273.15 specifying that grants to participating counties arefor the full fiscal year and that unobligated funds are returned to the State‑CountyCriminal Justice Partnership Account at the end of the grant period, theDepartment of Correction may reallocate unspent or unclaimed funds distributedto counties participating in the State‑County Criminal JusticePartnership in an effort to maintain the level of services realized in previousfiscal years. A program may apply for a grant from the reallocated funds atleast semiannually beginning July 1 of each year.  (2008‑107, s.17.7(b).)
