§ 143B‑273.9. Election to apply for funding.

A county may elect to apply for funding under this Article by a vote ofthe board of county commissioners approving the decision to apply, and byappointing a county criminal justice partnership advisory board.  Two or morecounties, by vote of the board of county commissioners of each county, mayagree to create a multicounty board instead of a county board.  A multicountyboard shall perform the same functions as a county board for each county thatparticipates in establishing the multicounty board.  The board or boards ofcounty commissioners shall notify the Secretary of the intent to apply forfunds within 60 days of receiving notification of the availability of funds andmay request technical assistance to develop the community‑basedcorrections plan. (1993, c. 534;1994, Ex. Sess., c. 24, s. 14(d).)
