§15‑10.4. Mandatory disposition of detainers exception as to prisonerswho are mentally ill.
The provisions of G.S. 15‑10.2and 15‑10.3 shall not apply to any prisoner who has been transferred andassigned for observation or treatment to any unit of the prison system which ismaintained for those prisoners who are mentally ill or are suffering frommental disorders. (1957, c. 1067, s. 3.)
