All drainage districts heretofore created shall be deemed to own aneasement or right‑of‑way in and to those lands upon which there areexisting canals and spoil banks.
Whenever the proposed repairs, maintenance or other improvements makeit necessary for the drainage district to acquire additional land for easementsor right‑of‑way, the procedure to secure the same shall be inaccordance with G.S. 156‑70.1. (1961, c. 614, s. 1.)
