§ 157‑44.  Actionof city or municipality by resolution.

Except as otherwise provided in this Article or by the Constitution ofthe State, all action authorized to be taken under this Article by the councilor other governing body of any city or of any municipality may be by resolutionadopted by a majority of all the members of its council or other governingbody, which resolution may be adopted at the meeting of the council or othergoverning body at which such resolution is introduced and shall take effectimmediately upon such adoption, and no such resolution need be published orposted. (1935, c. 408, s.5.)
