(a) Records, with regard to the ownership of or securityinterests in registered public obligations, are not subject to inspection orcopying under any law of this State relating to the right of the public toinspect or copy public records, notwithstanding any law to the contrary. Thisprovision shall not exempt from public inspection records of ownership of apublic entity's own holdings in this type of security.
(b) Registration records of the issuer may be maintained at suchlocations within or without this State as the issuer shall determine. (1983, c. 322, s. 1.)
