Any prisoner released totemporary custody under the provisions of the Agreement on Detainers from aplace of imprisonment in North Carolina who shall escape or attempt to escapefrom such temporary custody, whether within or without the borders of thisState, shall be dealt with in the same manner as if the escape or attempt toescape were from the original place of imprisonment.
