§ 160A‑449. Administration of ordinance.

The governing body of any city adopting an ordinance under this Partshall, as soon as possible thereafter, prepare an estimate of the annualexpenses or costs to provide the equipment, personnel and supplies necessaryfor periodic examinations and investigations of the dwellings in the city forthe purpose of determining the fitness of dwellings for human habitation, andfor the enforcement and administration of its ordinances adopted under thisPart. The city is authorized to make appropriations from its revenues necessaryfor this purpose and may accept and apply grants or donations to assist it incarrying out the provisions of the ordinances. (1939, c. 287, s. 8; 1971, c. 698, s. 1.)
