§ 160B‑10. Abolition of urban service districts.

Upon finding that there is no longer a need for a particular urbanservice district, the governing board, by resolution, may abolish thatdistrict. The governing board shall hold a public hearing prior to adoption ofa resolution abolishing a district. Notice of the hearing shall state the date,hour and place of the hearing, and its subject, and shall be published in anewspaper of general circulation in the county at least once a week for twosuccessive weeks prior to the date of the hearing. The abolition of any urbanservice district shall take effect at the end of a fiscal year followingpassage of the resolution, as determined by the governing board. (1973, c. 537, s. 1.)
