§ 164‑40. Correction population simulation model; Department of Juvenile Justice andDelinquency Prevention facilities population simulation model.

(a)        The Commission shall develop a correctional populationsimulation model, and shall have first priority to apply the model to a givenfact situation, or theoretical change in the sentencing laws, when requested todo so by the Chairman, the Executive Director, or the Commission as a whole.

The Executive Director or the Chairman shall make the model availableto respond to inquiries by any State legislator, or by the Secretary of theDepartment of Correction, in second priority to the work of the Commission.

(b)        The Commission shall develop a Department of JuvenileJustice and Delinquency Prevention facilities population simulation model, andshall have first priority to apply the model to a given fact situation, ortheoretical change in the dispositional laws set forth in Chapter 7B of theGeneral Statutes, when requested to do so by the Chairman, the ExecutiveDirector, or the Commission as a whole.

The Executive Director or the Chairman shall make the model availableto respond to inquiries by any State legislator, or by the Department ofJuvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, in second priority to the work ofthe Commission.
