§ 20‑314.  Applicabilityof Article 9A; its provisions continued.

The provisions of Article 9A,Chapter 20 of the General Statutes, as amended, which pertain to the method ofgiving and maintaining proof of financial responsibility and which govern anddefine "motor vehicle liability policy" and assigned risk plans shallapply to filing and maintaining proof of financial responsibility required bythis Article. It is intended that the provisions of Article 9A, Chapter 20 ofthe General Statutes, as amended, relating to proof of financial responsibilityrequired of each operator and each owner of a motor vehicle involved in anaccident, and relating to nonpayment of a judgment as defined in G.S. 20‑279.1,shall continue in full force and effect.
