Before issuing a commercialdriver license, the Division shall obtain driving record information from theCommercial Driver License Information System (CDLIS), the National DriverRegister, and from each state in which the person has been licensed.
Within 10 days after issuing acommercial driver license, the Division shall notify CDLIS of the issuance ofthe commercial driver license, providing all information necessary to ensureidentification of the person. (1989, c. 771, s. 2.)
