§35A‑1382.  Termination.

Any standby guardianshipcreated under this Article shall continue until the child reaches 18 years ofage unless sooner terminated by order of the clerk who entered the orderappointing the standby guardian, by revocation pursuant to this Article, or byrenunciation pursuant to this Article. A standby guardianship shall terminate,and the authority of the standby guardian designated pursuant to G.S. 35A‑1374or of a guardian of the person or general guardian appointed pursuant to thisArticle shall cease, upon the entry of an order of the district court grantingcustody of the minor child to any other person.
