Statutes > North-carolina > Chapter_40A > GS_40A-56§40A‑56. Refund of deposit.
In the event the amount of thefinal judgment is less than the amount deposited by the condemnor pursuant tothe provisions of this Article, the condemnor shall be entitled to recover theexcess of the amount of the deposit over the amount of the final judgment andcourt costs incident thereto. In the event there are not sufficient funds ondeposit to cover said excess, the condemnor shall be entitled to a judgment forsaid sum against the person or persons having received said deposit.
